The library is on four floors with the ground floor on three levels linked by ramps and there is a wheelchair accessible lift between floors.

Guildford library is situated near the top of North Street in Guildford town centre.

There are several nearby pay and display multi-storey in the town centre and some pay and display short stay on-street parking further down North Street. There are two disabled spaces outside the front of the library.

There is a special Fit Kit collection, with a variety of sports and exercise equipment that people can borrow for free, including cricket and rounder sets, walking poles and a boccia kit.
