A new booking system is being trialled at Camberley and Lyne community recycling centres (CRCs)
We are trialling a new online booking system for Camberley and Lyne (Chertsey) community CRCs. The system is being trialled to help ease congestion at peak times, improve the service for residents and help us manage the CRCs more effectively.
The trial is taking place between 11 August and 10 November 2025. If you’d like to visit one of these CRCs during these dates, you will need to book before you arrive. The system will be live from 28 July to book your first appointment.
Booking
Booking an appointment is quick and easy. Here are some important things to note:
- Bookings should be made online, but if you are unable to book online you can call our contact centre and a member of staff will book on your behalf.
- You can book a slot up to two weeks in advance.
- A maximum of 10 appointments can be booked per household, per calendar month.
- Your booking slot allows you a 15-minute window in which to arrive. For example, if you book for 10am you can arrive between 10am and 10:15am.
Feedback
During the trial, residents can provide feedback on the booking system. All feedback will be listened to, which will help shape how these CRCs operate going forward.
Feedback will be collected via an online form that will be emailed to everyone who books a slot. If you are unable to access the internet, paper copies of the feedback form will be available from the CRC, which can be handed back to staff.
Business as usual
No other CRCs will be impacted by the booking system trial and all can be visited as normal. If you visit Camberley or Lyne CRC between now and 11 August, you can do so without booking.
All other CRC rules will stay the same, including the need to bring proof that you are a ßÙßÇÂþ» resident and the need for a valid van permit if visiting in a van, pickup or trailer. To find out more and to make a booking (28 July onwards) visit the community recycling centres webpage. If you are unable to book online, you can call 03456 009 009 where someone will book it on your behalf.
