Fun Fact: Christmas Pie Avenue

Christmas Pie Avenue, in Normandy near Guildford, is one of the UK’s most festive street names. Its quirky name comes from the Christmas family, prominent local landowners in the 17th and 18th centuries, and the Saxon word pightle, meaning a small field.

Up until the 1950s, there was a field called Pie Field near the crossroads, which inspired the name. Today, houses on Christmas Pie Avenue are highly sought after—some residents even say the name helps sell homes quickly!
