Winkworth Arboretum by Compass Bus 42
Winkworth is the National Trust’s only arboretum, a botanical garden that is essentially like a museum for trees. Here, different trees and shrubs are grown and preserved for scientific study and conservation. The best time to visit is mid-October to mid-November to see most of the leaves turning to brilliant shades of gold, red, and amber.
Winkworth is located near Godalming and easily accessible via the No. 42 bus service, which stops outside the entrance. The bus operates Monday to Saturday. There is no Sunday service. Please check for return bus times to Godalming. Check out the Guildford, Godalming and Haslemere bus timetables for more information.
