Heads and Tails: interactive storytelling performance

Saturday 31 January at 2pm.

Get ready for another wild storytelling adventure!

dives into the folklore and fables of Southern African cultures, bursting with fun, laughter, and unforgettable adventures. Whether you are roaring like a lion or stretching tall like a giraffe, this is storytelling like you have never experienced before!

To celebrate , ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Libraries proudly welcomes back professional storytellers and for a spectacular return. They will bring African animal tales to life with high-energy performances, audience interaction, and plenty of surprises along the way.

Join us for an enchanting journey into African animal tales, brought to life with lively audience participation and interactive fun! Don’t miss this magical storytelling experience.

Booking is essential so book now to avoid missing out. Tickets price is donation based (minimum suggested is £2 per person attending).

Pebble rhymetime and storytime

Pebble rhymetime

  • Every Thursday, two sessions:
    • 10am to 10.30am
    • 11am to 11.30am
  • Every Saturday at 11am to 11.30am.

Rhymetime events will be ticketed, available at the counter before each session, on a first come, first served basis.

Storytime

Every Tuesday at 10.30am. School term time only.

The library will also hold special Storytime sessions with craft on occasion. Look out for these under Special events above.

Stories for grown-ups

Next session: Wednesday 11 February from 3pm to 4pm.

Agatha Christie: “The best time for planning a book is while you're doing the dishes. ”

Enjoy Stories, poems and anecdotes. There is no charge for this event but donations are welcome.

Reading groups

Leatherhead library reading group

The last Wednesday of the month at 2pm.

Wednesday book club

Every second Wednesday of the month at 2pm.

The Mansion reading group

Every second Thursday of the month from 2pm until 3.30pm.

If anyone is interested in joining any group, please email leatherhead.library@surreycc.gov.uk and we will see if there are any spaces.

Other events

Literacy buddy

Leatherhead library now have a literacy buddy who will help with form filling, reading letters and other literacy needs.

Please speak to the Leatherhead staff who will arrange an appointment.

Knit and Natter group

Every Tuesday from 2.30pm until 4pm.

Refreshments are available. Everyone is welcome regardless of their ability.

LEGO club

Every Saturday, from 11am to 12 noon Cost: £1 per child. Suitable for ages 6+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Limited to 10 children. Please register with a member of staff.

Digital Support Volunteer

Tuesdays from 3.15pm to 5pm.
