Pebble rhymetime
- Every Wednesday at 10.30am
- Every Thursday at 2pm
- Every Friday, two sessions:
- at 9.45am and
- at 11am
- First Saturday of the month at 10.30am.
No booking necessary. It is first come, first served. Limited capacity: tickets available half an hour before event.

Reading groups
Dorking library book group
Meets Thursdays every 4 to 6 weeks at 10am for 60 to 75 minutes. For more details please ask in the library.
Chatterbooks reading groups
First Saturday group
First Saturday of every month at 11am. Suitable for ages 9 to 13 years.
The group will meet for an hour-long session to discuss a book and enjoy fun activities such as games, quizzes and maybe an occasional murder mystery. If you're interested in joining this group, please speak to a member of staff at the library or send us a direct message on .
Last Saturday group
Meets the last Saturday of the month at 11am. Suitable for ages 9 to 13 years.

Other events
Family coffee drop-in
Every two weeks on a Friday, from 11.45am to 1pm.
First meeting is part of Warm Welcome Week and will happen on Friday 23 January. For anyone (mums, dads, carers, grandparents etc) with a little one in tow. Free hot drinks and biscuits for the adults. You are welcome to bring your own food for babies and toddlers.

Poetry hub
Every other Monday from 10am to 12 noon. Upcoming dates:

All the sessions are free to come along to and everyone is welcome. Suitable for all levels, whether you are an experienced poet or just curious to explore the world of poetry.
Chess club
Meets every Tuesday from 4.15pm to 5.15pm (Term time only).
Spaces are limited to 10 players, minimum age is 7, adults are welcome too.

Adult creative writing club
Every other Tuesday from 5.15pm to 6.15pm. Upcoming dates: 10 February.
The club will be held in the Teen Fiction section of the library.
Both new and experienced writers are welcome. Share what you are working on or come up with something new

Sketch at the library club
Alternate Tuesdays at 5.15pm. Upcoming dates: 3 February.
Join our casual, relaxed and welcoming group for all abilities and experience. Come to collaboratively sit with others and sketch. You may want to bring your own materials, but we will supply scrap paper and pencils. You are welcome to work on your projects or try out prompts we prepared.
Suitable for ages 16 years and over.
Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) club
First Wednesday of every month at 4pm.
Suitable for ages 8 to 12 years old with an adult. Spaces are limited and can be booked at the library desk.
Crafternoons
Every Thursday, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
Suitable for ages 5 years and over.
Lego club
Every Saturday from 2pm until 3pm.
£1 per child. For children aged 6 and above with an adult. Limited spaces Please book at the helpdesk or send us a message on social media.
Digital support volunteer
- Every Tuesday, from 10am to 11am.
- Every Wednesday from 2pm to 3pm.
