Family Learning course helps learner towards employment
Learner Ayesha attended a face to face five-week English for EAL (English as an Additional Language) Family Learning course at St Matthew's Church of England Primary School in Redhill in the first half of the spring term. The course was led by tutor Maria Szende. The outcomes are positive for Ayesha and her family.
Ayesha enjoyed the course with SAL Family Learning and shares her experience of attending the course with us that boosted her self-confidence and helped her to apply for work.
She said "Before joining family learning course that was delivered by tutor Maria Szende I was confused, lack of confidence and assumed that no one will understand my English accent, nor I could understand their English accents.
But to my surprise when Maria delivered first session, I was able to understand every single word. It was pleasant day which changed the way of thinking about myself. Her encouragement boosted up my confidence. By the third class, I made up my mind to do job. Bless to have tutor like her. Every single session helped me to learn not only the course content but encouraged me towards my career path.
I started applying for jobs. I gave two face-to-face interviews and I was successful. Thank you."
