What we do - ßÙßÇÂþ» Youth Cabinet

We make sure young people have a real voice in ßÙßÇÂþ». Your views matter, and we help you share them with the people who make decisions.

We work with councillors, mayors and MPs to make change.

How many of us are there?

We have about 35 members. This includes 6 elected Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs) and a Young Mayor.

How we work

  • We meet in person once a month to talk about big issues, debate, socialize and have fun!
  • We meet online to run campaigns and hear from guest speakers.
  • We choose our campaigns through Make Your Mark. This is the UK’s biggest youth vote. Young people aged 11 to 18 pick the issues that matter most.

Current focus

Our campaigns focus on topics like:

  • mental health
  • fair travel
  • cost of living
  • climate
  • youth safety

Get involved

  • Build your CV with leadership and teamwork skills
  • Stand out when applying for college or university
  • Gain confidence and learn public speaking and problem-solving skills
  • Share your views and influence local decisions
  • Meet new people and work with local leaders
