Young people in ßÙßÇÂþ» are helping shape the future of accessible travel.
ATLAS, our group for young people with additional needs and disabilities, recently took part in a pilot to test Aubin.
Aubin is a free journey-planning app created for neurodivergent travellers.
What we did
Over three days, ATLAS members used Aubin to plan and complete real journeys across ßÙßÇÂþ». We:
- explored its features
- shared what worked
- found where it could help young people feel more independent and less anxious when travelling
Unlike traditional travel apps, which focus on the fastest route, Aubin offers personalised journeys to:
- reduce stress
- build confidence
- make public transport more accessible
Sharing feedback
After the pilot, ATLAS met with Aubin’s co-founder and product manager. We suggested improvements like:
- journey-sharing options
- communication prompts
- a journey checklist
The pilot earned Aubin the ATLAS seal of approval. ATLAS are excited to promote the app to other neurodivergent young people in ßÙßÇÂþ».
"Helping shape Aubin was empowering. It will improve journeys and help many travel with confidence."
- Emily, ATLAS member

Why it matters
Accessible, neuroinclusive transport helps reach education, work, and social activities. It:
- boosts confidence
- supports independence
- reduces isolation
These are key priorities for ATLAS, who champion practical solutions to improve young people’s lives. This pilot is a big step toward making public transport in ßÙßÇÂþ» work better for neurodivergent young people.
