We’re proud of the amazing work ßÙßÇÂþ» Youth Cabinet does. Here are some highlights from 2025.
Mental health matters
In the 2024 Make Your Mark campaign, 2,500 young people told us health and wellbeing was a top priority.
Make Your Mark is the UK's biggest youth vote. Young people aged 11 to 18 choose the issues that matter most. These choices help shape campaigns for the UK Youth Parliament and local youth cabinets.
We created 2 campaigns:
- GP accessibility
- wellbeing hubs
We worked with Consulting Youth Advisors (CYA) and Youth Cafés to show how socialising helps mental health. We also ran a wellbeing workshop at Matrix Youth Café in Guildford.
“Mental health is super important. Socialising and connecting can make a big difference, so come along and make a new friend!”

We also focused on:
- financial literacy resources for schools
- a youth climate change strategy
In October, we shared these priorities with ßÙßÇÂþ» MPs at our Lunch and Learn event. We asked questions about transport, housing and Votes at 16.

Our Members of Youth Parliament spoke in the House of Commons about fair housing, safety and belonging.
“Safety is not created by enforcement or fear, it is created by stability and belonging.”

Supporting youth projects
Our Young Mayor team funded youth-led projects this year. Young leaders applied for funding to run their own community projects.
We visited projects and shared updates. They supported biodiversity and wellbeing in lots of different ways – watch their work in the videos below.
