Role: Group Commander – Operational Policy and Assurance
Type: Secondment (12 months)
Location: Woodhatch Place, Reigate (RH2 8EF)Â
About the Role:
As a Group Commander, you'll lead our Operational Policy and Assurance and Performance Support teams. Your main tasks will include: 
- Leading and coordinating Operational Learning. This includes the Strategic Gap Analysis (SGA), planning and embedding of National Operational Guidance (NOG), and the quality assurance of crews and processes to inform future learning.
- Overseeing the development and review of Policies and Guidance
- Developing assurance processes including deep dives and reality testing.
- Overseeing Fire Standards relating to Operational Learning.
- Providing the assurance framework on Incident Monitoring / Operational Learning.
- Working with stakeholders to drive improvement.
Key Responsibilities: 
- Lead the Operational Policy and Assurance and Operational Performance Support teams.
- Ensure compliance with national fire standards, the strategic gap analysis, and National Operational Guidance.
- Provide advice and challenge on fire standards and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote best practices.
- Assure service improvement through established processes.
