Public Footpath 119 (Godstone)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 6 November ßÙßÇÂþ» made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Public Footpath 119 (Godstone) from point A (Grid reference: 535032 152492) to point B (Grid reference: 534781 152740) shown as a black bold line on plan reference: 3/1/26/H40.
The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety due to works being undertaken on or near the highway.
The closure will be in operation for a period of six months from 10 November 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from point A will be to head south on the B2235 for 313 metres, then continue south on the A25 for 392 metres before following the A25 south west for 119 metres to Public Footpath 122 (Bletchingley). Then head north west for 903 metres on Public Footpath 122 (Bletchingley) and Public Footpath 122 (Bletchingley), continue North on North Park Lane for 65 metres. Then follow Public Footpath 121 (Bletchingley) and Public Footpath 121 (Godstone) for 633 metres, then continue East for 82 metres to point B.
The alternative route for traffic from point B will be the reverse of the route described above.
“The ßÙßÇÂþ» Public Footpath 119 (Godstone) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
