Volunteer at Tice's Meadow

Come and join our rangers and volunteer at Tice's Meadow near Farnham. Tasks might include; clearing vegetation, maintaining paths, fence and gate repairs, habitat management, wildlife surveys and more. We have volunteer sessions running on the following dates:

  • Date: Friday 23 and 30 January
  • Place: Tice's Meadow. Please meet at Horton's Mound which is shown on our interpretation boards around the site.
  • Time: 10am to 2pm

Wild about running

Join in with this free 5 kilometre trail run through the beautiful surroundings of Norbury Park near Leatherhead. Open to all ages and abilities.

  • Date: Sunday 1 February
  • Place: Meet at the Wild! About Coffee Landrover in Norbury Park (next to the Woodland Hub). Follow directions to the woodland hub as shown on our interpretation boards around site.
  • Time: Warm up and safety briefing at 8.30am, run starts sharp at 9am.

Spaces are limited so please sign up in person at the Landrover or via the web page.

This event takes place on the first Sunday of every month.

Help tackle the effects of climate change by planting a tree! Come along to a ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Library near you and collect your free tree! We have a selection of native broadleaf tree species available suitable to plant in gardens. All trees will be given away with a handy guide with aftercare guidance and should be planted within 7 days.

  • Date: Saturday 7 February
  • Place: Guildford, Redhill, Egham, Ewell and Banstead, Byfleet, Ewell Court and Virginia Water Libraries
  • Time: 9.30am to 12.00pm (please note Byfleet library opens at 10am)

Please be aware that trees will be given out on a first come, first served basis.

Join the Heathland Hounds (part of the Thames Basin Heaths Partnership) for one of their pop-up events this time at Wisley and Ockham Commons. Find out more about the wildlife that inhabit the common and why it's important to keep dogs under control to protect rare ground nesting birds from March to September.

  • Time: 10am to midday
