Volunteer at Tice's Meadow

Come and join our rangers and volunteer at Tice's Meadow near Farnham. Tasks might include; clearing vegetation, maintaining paths, fence and gate repairs, habitat management, wildlife surveys and more. We have volunteer sessions running on the following dates:

  • Date: Friday 5 December and Saturday 20 December
  • Place: Tice's Meadow. Please meet at Horton's Mound which is shown on our interpretation boards around the site.
  • Time: 10am to 2pm

Join in with this free 5 kilometre trail run through the beautiful surroundings of Norbury Park near Leatherhead. Open to all ages and abilities.

  • Date: Sunday 7 December
  • Place: Meet at the Wild! About Coffee Landrover in Norbury Park (next to the Woodland Hub). Follow directions to the woodland hub as shown on our interpretation boards around site.
  • Time: Warm up and safety briefing at 8.30am, run starts sharp at 9am.

Meet the Holly King in Norbury Park

Come along and meet the Holly King in Norbury Park during select dates in December. Hear his woodland tales about the magic of the woods and the turning of the seasons and go home with a selection of forest gifts.

  • Date: 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 December
  • Place: Meet at the Wild! About Coffee Landrover in Norbury Park (next to the Woodland Hub). Follow directions to the woodland hub as shown on our interpretation boards around site.

Join in with some free Christmas Craft activities at the Basingstoke Canal Visitor Centre to get in the Christmas spirit. The activities are led by ßÙßÇÂþ»­'s Fostering team where you can find out more about the work of the team and becoming a foster carer. All materials are included.

Waggy Walk at Whitmoor Common

Join Heathland Hounds (part of the Thames Basin Heaths Partnership) on Whitmoor Common this January for two 'waggy walks'. Enjoy a dog walk with a difference! where you can find out more about the common and the species that call this area home and how you and your dog can help protect them.

  • Date: Wednesday 21 January
  • Place: Meet at Burdenshott Road Car Park, Burdenshott Road, GU3 3RN
  • Time: 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm.
