Footpaths No. 59 (Leatherhead) and 1 (Mickleham)
Public Path Diversion Order 2025

The above Order, made on 18 December 2025, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will, if confirmed, divert Footpath 59 (Leatherhead) running from Grid Reference. 516391 155066 in a southerly direction for 390 metres to Grid Reference. 516400 154682, to a line running from the same point in a south south easterly then south easterly direction for 400 metres to Grid Reference. 516400 154682, and Footpath 1 (Mickleham) running from Grid Reference. 516596 154307 in a north westerly direction for 320 metres to Grid Reference. 515415 154563, to a line running from the same point in a west north westerly direction for 128 metres, turning to a north north westerly direction for 238 metres to Grid Reference. 515415 154563.

A copy of the Order and Maps may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Access Office, ßÙßÇÂþ»­, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ (by appointment Telephone. 0300 200 1003 and at Mole Valley District Council Offices, Pippbrook, Dorking RH4 1SJ and Leatherhead Library, Church Street, Leatherhead , KT22 8DP during opening hours. The notice can also be viewed on www.surreycc.gov.uk under Footpaths, Byways and Bridleways. A copy of the Order may be purchased from the County Council for £4.

Any representations or objections to the Order must be sent in writing to Countryside Access quoting reference AW/3/1/51 at ßÙßÇÂþ»­, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ, or by email to rightsofway@surreycc.gov.uk by 9 February 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, ßÙßÇÂþ»­ may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. Any representations not withdrawn will be sent with the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation.
