and Statement Modification Order 2025

On 28 August 2025 ßÙßÇÂþ»­ confirmed the above order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert public footpath number. 138 (Godstone) from a point 100 metres South East of Tilburstow Hill Road (grid reference. 535291 150929) proceeding generally South East for 100 metres to (grid reference. 535397 150882) where it then rejoins the original line, a total distance of 100 metres.

A copy of the order as confirmed and map may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Access Office, ßÙßÇÂþ»­, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ (by appointment Tel. 0300 200 1003) and at Tandridge District Council, 8 Station Road, Oxted, RH8 0BT and Oxted Library 12 Gresham Road, Oxted, RH8 0BJ during opening hours. The notice can also be viewed on www.surreycc.gov.uk under Footpaths, Byways and Bridleways. A copy of the Order may be purchased from the County Council for £4.

As respects to the route to be created the order came into force on 28 August 2025, and as respects to the route to be extinguished comes into force on the date on which ßÙßÇÂþ»­ certify that the terms of Article 2 have been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained within it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 11 September 2025, make an application to the High Court.
