Camberley Youth Wind Orchestras

About the Ensemble

Camberley Youth Wind Orchestra (CYWO) is a ßÙßÇÂþ» Arts ensemble based in Camberley, bringing together young woodwind, brass, and percussion players from North West ßÙßÇÂþ» and nearby areas. The orchestra operates as a partnership between ßÙßÇÂþ» Arts and parents, developing the musical talents of young people aged 8 to 18 from local schools and colleges.

Founded in 1983 as the ßÙßÇÂþ» Heath Middle Schools Wind Band, CYWO has grown with strong support from parents and ßÙßÇÂþ» Arts. Since 2004, the group has benefited from dedicated musical directors and tutors, maintaining high standards and continuity in teaching.

CYWO now has two sections: Juniors and Intermediates and Seniors. Each are led by an experienced musical director and ßÙßÇÂþ» Arts tutors, so every member receives tailored support as they progress.

Members rehearse weekly, learn new music together, and support each other as a team. It’s a great way to make friends, build confidence, and enjoy performing.
