Find out more about the two weekend closures in June

We will be closing the A320 Guildford Road in both directions, between the Ottershaw roundabout and St Peter’s Way roundabout over two weekends in June.

The closures will be as follows:

• Closure one: 8pm Friday 6 June to 5am Monday 9 June
• Closure two: 5am Saturday 14 June to 5am Monday 16 June

The closures are linked to major improvement works currently taking place on the A320 between Ottershaw and Chertsey. The works will make sure all the junctions and roads work well together to improve traffic flow and create extra capacity on this busy stretch of road. There will also be improvements for walkers and cyclists, including new crossing points and wider foot and cycle paths, and improved access to public transport. For more information, please visit our website.

Diversion

The official diversion route for northbound traffic will be via Murray Road, Spinney Hill and into Addlestone along Church Road and Station Road, before turning left onto the A317 Woburn Hill and then joining St Peter’s Way towards St Peter’s Hospital. This route is reversed for southbound traffic. Closure information and updates will be shared via our .

Travel advice

Roads around the A320 and diversion are expected to be busy during the closures. If you plan to travel, please check traffic apps before setting off and leave extra time for your journey where possible.

Please leave extra time if you can if travelling to St Peter's Hospital, as roads will be busy in the area. Additionally, access will be maintained at all times for the ambulance station.
