Feedback gathered from visitors to our Local Offer website

At the bottom of each page on the Local Offer, visitors can leave a yes or no answer as to whether they found a page helpful. They can also leave additional comments in a free text section.

As a team, we review the feedback each month, to decide what action to take in response.

Examples of feedback received and actions taken:

It seems that the "Leisure and Childcare" section on the local offer for ßÙßÇÂþ» lacks information on leisure activities, both inclusive and generic, for children with additional needs.

Our response: We have updated the section and created a page called Leisure activities for children with additional needs.

We would like information on activities specific to children and young people with Additional Needs and Disabilities (AND) during the 6 week summer holidays

Our response: We produced a list of activities for under and over 5's of summer activities in the local area, which featured as a news item on the Local Offer. It was advertised on social media and in the Additional Needs and Disabilities (AND) newsletter.

Peer review

In September 2025, the Local Offer team at Gloucestershire carried out a review of our Local Offer site. This comprised reviewing our Local Offer's compliance against aspects of the which relate to what Local Offer's must or should publish.

The review gave a score of Yes, Limited or No based on how successful we were in meeting the requirements:

Feedback gathered about our enquiry service

Alongside the Local Offer website, there is also an email enquiry service. We aim for this service to be responsive and thorough. The most common themes of our enquiries was similar to previous years and were:

  • Signposting families to support services
  • Request for the contact details of a practitioner supporting a family.
  • Information requiring updating/adding on to the website or directory.

Generally, the feedback received has indicated that most people are satisfied with the service they receive in response to enquiries. A sample of some of this feedback is below:

Thank you so much for all the helpful information. I will have a look at it all.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I really appreciate you confirming that information for me.

Thank you that is really helpful

Feedback gathered after our Showcase events

In 2025 we have organised with six Additional Needs Showcases, these are large marketplace events where local services raise awareness of their offer to parent/carers and practitioners. We hope that by gathering a range of services together at once, so we can create the opportunity for parents and carers to hear about services who'll be helpful to them and for practitioners to meet one another and increase their understanding of what support they can signpost families to.

After each Showcase we ask that attendees complete a short survey describing how they found the event.

Miscellaneous feedback and actions

Throughout the year we have also received feedback at groups, meetings or other ways we engage with families and practitioners. We have summarised a few ways we’ve actioned your feedback.

How does the process work if you have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and move out of area

Our response: We updated our Moving in or out of ßÙßÇÂþ» with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) page, to cover all aspects of the process.

It's confusing to navigate the schools admission process for a child with an EHCP on the ßÙßÇÂþ» website.

Our response: We centralised and streamlined the guidance so it just appears on the Local Offer site as: Schools admissions for children with an EHCP.

We are unclear how to raise a concern regarding the statutory assessment.

Our response: We added a Concern and Complaints section under our Contact Us page.
