Course intent
Start your Friday morning with an engaging lecture as we delve into the fascinating life of the children of King James II
What will I learn?
Join us as we look at the lives, long and short, of the children of King James II.
Did you know that King James II of England and VII of Scotland was married twice? His eight children by his first wife, Anne Hyde, included the Queens Regnant, Mary II and Anne but also four brothers who, had they lived, would have been successors to their father. Mary of Modena, James’s second wife was the mother of more daughters and another son who survived for just a month before she gave birth to the longed-for Catholic heir in 1688
