Course intent

Learn how to make a beautifully presented, hand tied bouquet to keep for yourself or to gift to someone else. Explore different flowers and foliage that would be suitable to use in a tied design, and how to prepare your flowers and foliage to make them last for longer.

What will I learn?

You will be guided on how you can condition and care for flowers and foliage to achieve longevity and beautiful blooms.

Construction of a hand tied design with spiralled stems

• How to wrap and present a tied bouquet
• Floristry trade secrets, tips and techniques
• Successful budgeting and ways of making affordable choices

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is for beginner and improvers

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

You need to bring:

• Scissors
• bucket for flowers
• plastic sheet or cloth to work on
• small knife
• notebook and pen
• 3 bunches of supermarket flowers and foliage from the garden, more guidance given on enrolment.
