Course intent

On this short relaxing course, you will learn to write simple and effective lettering with a spring theme which you can use on cards, boxes or other craft projects.

What will I learn?

You will learn:

• How to use different writing tools
• How to write and trace different size lettering
• A new ‘hand’ / style of writing
• About paper folding, scoring and cutting safely

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is for complete beginners and for those who have completed a Hong Kong Calligraphy course. It is also suitable for you if you are a beginner interested in learning about calligraphy, but perhaps with experience of a workshop.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

• A3 sketch book – preferably not spiral bound
• Pen or pencil to take notes with

A more detailed materials list will be provided in the first lesson but will not be long.

What can I do when I finish the course?

Progress onto further calligraphy courses and workshops
