Costs and Funding
The project is expected to cost £2.5 million with 50% coming from ßÙßÇÂþ»’s Infrastructure Fund and the remaining 50% from Epsom & Ewell Borough Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy funds.
Community Engagement
The project team has been working alongside a Stakeholder Working Group for the duration of the project, seeking feedback and local advice from them. The group consists of local residents, local councillors and community representatives.
Wider public engagement was carried out in 2023 and 2024. Both engagement periods were multi-week and included both in-person sessions and an online engagement platform, to allow as many people as possible to view the proposals and provide feedback. The project team also met separately with businesses to discuss the proposals and listen to their views.
Overall, across both engagement periods, the project team received approximately 2500 responses from people. These views were taken into account prior to the final designs being agreed.
In addition, divisional and local members have been continually kept up to date throughout the project.
