Contact the council in British Sign Language (BSL)

You can connect with us directly in British Sign Language (BSL) from anywhere through Convo, our deaf-led remote interpreting service.

If you use BSL, you can call us through the Convo Now app on iOS, Android, or a web browser. Simply find us in the Community Directory. From the moment you connect, the interpreter is there, ready to reach the right person and support the conversation throughout.

Getting started with Convo

Use the link below to sign in to the Convo service. First-time users will be asked to register once. This keeps your account secure and allows us to return your call if needed using your unique code.

When you have signed in, select 'ßÙßÇÂþ»' from the directory.

You'll be connected to a Convo BSL interpreter. Tell them what you want and they will translate between you and our contact centre.

This is a free service, available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays).

Call backs

To be able to receive call-backs, please provide us with your unique number, which is on the homepage of Convo Now. This unique code will allow us to give you a call-back. See for support in receiving call-backs.
