Description
SSLHS was founded in 1951 to foster interest in local history. The society is active and friendly, arranging monthly talks, creating exhibitions, and running stands at local events.
Thay have built up a fascinating and extensive collection of old documents, maps, photos, and postcards. Many members have used these and other materials to research the past, and this work is shared with members through the society's journals, books, and exhibitions.
