Description
The Oasis Therapy Suite has a hydrotherapy pool with sensory lights and a music and DVD system for people who have learning disabilities and are registered with a ßÙßÇÂþ» GP.
Hydrotherapy can be used to help treat a range of conditions including neurological, arthritic and musculoskeletal disorders and is often used after joint replacement surgery. Benefits include improved mobility, balance and co-ordination, strengthened muscles and reduced swelling. Hydrotherapy also promotes relaxation, enhances wellbeing and is an effective method of pain relief.
Individuals are referred for hydrotherapy following specialist physiotherapy assessment by a physiotherapist based within the ßÙßÇÂþ» community teams for people with learning disabilities.
