Merrist Wood is a multi-award winning college operated by specialising in the land-based industries including animal management, arboriculture and floristry, landscaping and sports studies.
The college offers a range of courses, for all stages of career development.
The college's Woodlands Centre is a newly purpose-built SEND centre with sensory and therapy rooms, classrooms, and gardens.
The college is also committed to widening participation?and supporting learners with a wide range of?learning difficulties and disabilities, including chronic fatigue syndrome, autistic spectrum disorders such as Asperger Syndrome,?ADHD, mobility impairments, visual impairments, speech impairments, long term medical conditions, mental health difficulties and more.
Learners?have access to individual support and specialist?help where needed (one-to-one support, occupational therapists, speech and language?therapists and physiotherapists).
SEND courses at Merrist Wood college are for learners aged 16-25 year olds, and may require an EHCP.
